Central Ferry, Washington.

Peyton or Central Ferry is located along the northern banks of Snake River in Whitman County, Washington.  It is an industrial port with no residents living in the immediate limits.

The area called Central Ferry by the Port of Garfield is used for shipping, even though the property is in Whitman County. The property was purchased for barging grain to other markets. The Port eventually plans to build a port on the south side of the Snake River as well.

A waterfront park and campground was also located Peyton, called Central Ferry Park. The Park was closed down by the US Army Corp of Engineers in 2015.
