Port Kelley is a populated place located in Walla Walla County, Washington.

Geography Edit

Port Kelley sits along the Columbia River within the Wallula Gap, just south of the confluence of the Walla Walla River into the Columbia.

Port Kelley's latitude is 46.025 and the longitude is -118.938. The elevation of Port Kelley is 361 feet. The community is south of Wallula and just north of the Oregon border.

History Edit

A taxi survey in 1887 shows the area of Port Kelley before Lake Wallula, the reservoir behind the McNary Dam, inundated the area. There appeared to be no homesteaders in the area except for someone slightly north of today's current location.

Today there are very few permanent residents in the Port Kelley area. There is a grain port for barges as well as a marina for boaters.
